The Public Access Proficiency Test is a great starting point for adolescent and adult dogs who show Service Dog potential. This 1-hour assessment is conducted in a public location to examine the general disposition and temperament of the dog in a public setting.

The testing process designed to evaluate a service dog teams’ current readiness to work in a public environment, identify areas that require improvement, and prepare a training plan to assist the team in passing the final Public Access Test. All tests end on a positive note! Each team receives a copy of their test results and complementary training advice on how to best prepare for the future.
