Safe, positive and healthy human to dog interactions start with learning to understand and speak their language.  This full day course is uniquely designed for Municipal Law-Enforcement Officers, Animal Control Officers, Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians and Service Professionals.  This course combination provides professionals with the tools necessary to; read canine body language, correctly determine emotional state and how to respond in a manner that reduces the animal’s stress levels, promoting safety for both dog and handler.  The objective of this innovative course is to provide participants with the information and experience to identify potentially volatile situations in the early stages, defuse volatile dogs, implement the canine incident management model and protect themselves in the event an attack becomes unavoidable.  At the end of the course participants receive their Canine Behaviour 101 and Canine Self Defense Certificate in addition to 8 OAVT (Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians), 7 CCPDT (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers) and 8 IAABC (International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants) Continuing Education Credits.
