Morris’ Story

Morris was rescued 3 years ago from a very abusive situation, that left emotional scarring which resulted in the development of fear aggression towards new strangers, familiar guests and family members.  People attempting to reach for Morris were often met with extreme escape behaviours, including mouth contact, leading to contusions and punctures.

After one in-home visit, several months of follow up phone consultations, and email correspondence, Morris has made exceptional progress.  After implementing confidence and relationship building exercises, in addition to behaviour modification techniques, his owners are happy to report that there has been a substantial increase in his confidence, decrease in stress responses and increased affection with family and visitors.  Morris is finally free to be the friendly and affectionate boy we saw hidden under the fear. Proving yet again, that with a little work and a lot of dedication, there is always hope.
