CourtneyHancockCourtney Hancock is a fifth year Behaviour Consultant apprentice with Canine Foundations with five years of experience as a Secondary Handler in testing severe aggression cases.

Courtney has been providing dog walking and pet sitting services for Canine Foundations’ clients who are in rehab for severe behavioural issues such as; aggression, separation anxiety and fears and phobias for the past 6 years. With over 8 years of animal field background, Courtney has successfully completed her specialty for treating Dog to Dog Aggression, Stranger Fear Aggression and Separation Anxiety.  Courtney also oversees and facilitates Canine Foundations’ canine therapy play dates and dog introductions for clients who are addressing dog to dog related issues. True to her passion, she is currently working towards her specialization in treating phobia related behavioural issues and resource guarding.

In addition to dog walking, pet sitting and working with Canine Foundations Courtney also dedicates much of her free time to working with Georgian Triangle Humane Society and Last Chance K9 Rescue. Her love for dogs in rescue has compelled her to take on a more active role in volunteering with other canine rescue groups such as Southern Ontario Animal Rescue the SPCA as well as caring for dogs in transit from shelters to foster homes.
